Consumer Unit Replacement London
Fixed-price consumer unit (fuse box) replacement with a metal-clad 18th Edition board, RCBO or RCD protection, surge protection where required, and Part P certification.
About our consumer unit replacement service
Old rewireable fuse boxes and plastic consumer units without RCD protection are among the most common reasons for an unsatisfactory EICR. A new consumer unit protects every circuit with modern RCD or RCBO devices that cut the power in milliseconds if a fault or electric shock occurs.
Replacing a consumer unit is notifiable work under Part P of the Building Regulations. As a registered competent person we notify building control for you and issue an Electrical Installation Certificate, so you do not need a separate building control application.
Every board change includes testing of the existing circuits first. If a circuit fails insulation testing we explain the cause and give you a fixed price before going further — no surprises on the day.

Consumer Unit Replacement FAQs
How much does a consumer unit replacement cost in London?
Our fixed price starts at £349 for a one-bed flat in London; larger homes scale with the number of circuits. You see the full price before you book.
How long does it take to replace a fuse box?
Usually half a day for a flat and a full day for a larger house. The power is off for most of that time, but we restore it the same day.
Is a fuse box replacement notifiable under Part P?
Yes. We are registered to self-certify, so we notify building control and you receive a compliance certificate by post.
