Polarity Electrics Ltd is a company registered in England and Wales (company number 12345678), with its registered office at 128 Voltage Row, Shoreditch, London EC2A 4PT. We are registered with the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) under registration ZB123456.

When you use the quote wizard or callback widget, we collect only what we need to serve you:

• Contact details — your name, email address and phone number.
• Job details — the service requested, property type, postcode, whether you are a homeowner or landlord, and your preferred urgency.
• Quote records — the reference, prices and dates generated for your enquiry.
• Callback requests — your phone number and the time slot you asked to be called.

We do not collect special category data, and we do not knowingly collect information from children.

We process your data on the following lawful bases under the UK GDPR:

• To provide a quote and arrange work — this is necessary to take steps at your request before entering into a contract, and to perform that contract.
• To call you back — this is necessary to take steps at your request before entering into a contract.
• To keep proper business and safety records — this is necessary for our legitimate interests in running a compliant electrical contracting business, and to meet legal obligations such as electrical certification.

We do not sell your personal data. We share it only with service providers who help us run the site and deliver your job, including our hosting and database provider (Netlify) which stores your submissions securely. Where a provider processes data on our behalf they are bound by a data-processing agreement. We may also disclose data where required by law.

Your data is stored on managed infrastructure provided by Netlify. Where data is transferred outside the UK, it is protected by appropriate safeguards such as the UK International Data Transfer Agreement or an adequacy decision.

We keep quote and completed-job records for up to six years where needed for tax records, contractual claims, warranties and electrical-safety documentation, then delete or anonymise them. Unsuccessful quote and callback enquiries are removed within 12 months. Privacy complaints are retained for up to six years so we can demonstrate how they were handled.

You can raise a concern electronically using this form. It goes directly into our privacy case register. Please do not include passwords, payment-card details or unnecessary sensitive information.

Under the UK GDPR you have the right to:

• access a copy of the personal data we hold about you;
• ask us to correct inaccurate or incomplete data;
• ask us to erase your data where there is no ongoing reason to keep it;
• object to or restrict our processing, and withdraw consent at any time;
• request your data in a portable format.

To exercise any of these rights, email privacy@polarityelectrics.co.uk. If you are unhappy with how we handle your data you can complain to the ICO at ico.org.uk, though we would appreciate the chance to help first.
